Happy Easter!

Lily's first Easter. Oh my. We went to the egg hunt at church Saturday and while she wasn't the smallest baby there, she was the slowest. She came out with 4 eggs in her basket. (Which she was ecstatic about those 4.) She would've ended up with 3, but a girl was kind enough to ask if she should leave the yellow one for Lily to pick up. I figured she wouldn't miss 1 out of the 50 she was fast enough to get. :)

The first egg she saw was blue and for some reason that was the color she fixated on the for the rest of the time. She would drop whatever egg she had if she saw another blue one! Usually, the one she saw got snatched up before she could get at it, but she didn't seem too put out about that. So she would look around for another, finally get there (we would block it from the other kids' view), pick it up, turn it around a few times- then put it down and look around some more. We couldn't get her to put them in her basket. Apparently that's what we were there for... Actually, when Clay's wife, Denise, saw Lily's basket, she threw a few more in it. Really, since she's not gonna eat the candy, does she really need to get the most eggs? I think she got a decent haul for 10 months. :) She seemed pretty satisfied as well.
Connor and Lily
They read the Easter story before the kids went out to find eggs and the girl that sits in front of us in church was sweet enough to take Lily with her to sit up close. I tried to get a picture, but she kept getting hidden by other kids! It was sweet, she kept standing up (which put her about even with the lady's chair) and putting her hand on the lady's leg or pulling on her sweater. She even tried to crawl away- surprise! Thank goodness Connor is a quick girl...

Sunday morning was busy- we went to the sunrise service, breakfast, Sunday School and church. Then we came home and didn't move for the rest of the day. Lily wanted to tell everyone about her adventures during the services that we had her in! Then she just wanted to sleep...We put her down for a nap at 5:00, she woke up to eat at 8:00, went back to bed, woke up to eat at 6:30, and is still asleep actually...Apparently, she was wore out...

maybe I'll take a nap right here...
